Hi I'm Samantha 

I'm a certified dog trainer and a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy of Animal Training and Behaviour.

 

My goal is to help bridge the gap of understanding between pets and their people

and to help them have the best quality of life together.

Throughout my entire life animals, and improving human - animal relationships have been the forefront of my focus.

I am so excited to be able to share the knowledge and power of positive reinforcement training. 

​

 By teaching people how to understand the animals around them and teaching the animals how to successfully communicate and live with us, we can create a happier, safer, harmonious environment and community for all.

 

As a qualified dog trainer and Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner I am passionate about the science of teaching and learning and the science of behaviour change. 

I am always looking for more effective, humane and kind ways of teaching and training with both pets and people.

I have always been obsessed with animals and wanting to make a positive difference. Previously I had an amazing life teaching horse riding and training young horses. Until I had an injury which meant I moved back to the city (Devonport, Auckland) in 2014. 

​

 In 2015 Howlistic Help was born. Ever since I have had the pleasure of applying my love for animals and passion for helping, everyday. Training dogs, puppies, helping pets and their people live in harmony is truly a dream job and life for me.

​

I am always studying to further my knowledge and understanding to help make that positive difference.

I recently completed the highly regarded Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional Program, Living and Learning with Animals: The Science & Technology of Behaviour Change by Dr Susan Friedman and Puppy Lab by The Canine School of Science.

​

I aim to provide Howlistic Help to not only dogs, horses and cats, but any pet of any species ​that needs help. 

​

I know each animal is different, and I’ll work with your family and pet to give you the specific guidance you need. Whether you’re thinking about getting an animal, have a new pet, or already own a pet with behavioral challenges, I am here to help make training fun again.
